Christmas in Alabama

Last night, Bryan took the girls and I to Mobile,AL. A man that Bryan works with put up over 50,000 lights at his house AND has them programmed to music. As you get near his house, you set your radio station to 88.3 and listen and watch. We talked with Mike and his dad last night. ...Very sweet people. They started putting up lights at Halloween and were ready on Thanksgiving.

The hardest part, he said, was to program different colors to come on wth certain beats. He has a beautiful nativity scene that his wife cut out. He also has a timer counting down to Christmas. We have 2 weeks,3 days,5hours,50 minutes and 00 seconds as of last night. We had a blast. We stayed and talked for at least 30 minutes...in the cold...
He also has a helicopter that lights up and spins while the radio is playing "Whirly bird" by Gene Autry. Another cool thing he does is ....going green.. He talks about everyone going green lately and wants to do his part. So he counts down and all the lights go off except green. It's gorgeous. Sorry I couldn't catch it on film. Haley made a video. I'm going to see if she can upload it here soon. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
